I have an unfortunate announcement to make:
My fight against Josh Palmer for the WBC US Title has been cancelled due to my opponent failing the medical requirements for the California Athletic Commision. The promoter was unsuccessful in finding a last minute replacement.

WCK Title Fight Weigh In
I am proud to announce that I won the fight unanimously at the San Manuel Casino. It was a 4 round full rules muay thai rematch against Joe Sarkissian.
For those of you who didnt make it to the event you missed out but thanks for the phone calls. More info can be found at www.thefightgame.tv ; and as for the video, you will all have to wait til it gets edited.
I appreciate everyone who helped me get ready for this fight and look forward in putting on more great performances in the future. A special thanks goes out to Araz at Hyefighters.com for keeping up to date on his informative website that portrays Armenian fighters around the globe.
So whats next ? A week off perhaps

Shawn Yacoubian vs. Joe Sarkissian rematch
The Guatemala Fight went well against Ben Yelle but I unfotunately lost by decision. A fighter from my gym , Travis Garlitz, was supposed to fight Joe Sarkissian on November 29, 2007 at the San Manuel Casino but wont be able to make it due to personal reasons. As soon as I heard this, I stepped up to the plate; ever since our No Contest fight in 2003 Joe had been requesting for a rematch but things hadnt worked out in his favor till now. The fight will be 4 rounds of full muay thai rules for the Young Guns Title Belt. Other fighters on the show will include Danny Steele vs. Hector Pena.
I came out with little to no injuries in Guatemala so this upcoming show will be a good one to watch. Tickets are available through Ticket Master or directly through the casino the day of the venue. I recommend getting tickets ahead of time unless you want to wait for the casino to print them out when you get there which takes an awful long time considering the addition of waiting in line. Since I am taking the fight on short notice my picture wont be on the poster but here it is anyway:

I will be fighting a full rules muay thai bout on Guatemala’s very first Muay Thai / MMA show November 10, 2007 for an International Title against Ben Yelle.
The promoter Sterwart Shoeman is holding the event in Guatemala City’s colliseum which is practically sold out of its 10,000 seating capacity. As far as I know it will be televised throughout latin America but as far as showtimes here in the USA, a Thai cable station, NAT TV will also be covering this historical event to air sometime in the future.
Training has been great and Im looking forward to putting on a great show on the venue. For those of you who would like to come out, airline tickets start at $280 round trip.

The Lights Out Promotion set for August 26 has been postponed to December unfortunately where I will face an opponent from Canada. In the meantime I will soon get word of taking a boxing fight to keep busy.

Some news over the last month …….. Danny Steele looses to Michael Mananquil for the ISKA title belt. Karo Parisyan is set to fight Math Hughes in UFC 56 but due to injury the fight is off.
Diego Corrales lost the rematch with Jose Luis Catillo. Watch for the third fight on Showtime .. you wont want to miss it !
Training has been coming along really well. Ive been getting alot of boxing sparring at New York Boxing Club twice a week as well as clinching and knee work at Pro Training Inc. The fight is about 20 days away and Im feeling great.
