I got back from Amsterdam alright, a bit jet lagged of course but continued training before I headed to Las Vegas to watch the Dennis Warner WCK show. The event was a huge success with victors such as Malaipet, Jongsanan, Bryce Krause, Josh Aragon, Romie Adanza etc. …
When I got back to the valley I had a pleasant surprise walking in the Goosen Boxing Gym to get sparring; #10 135 lb. world ranked Mongolian champion Lakva Sim was preparing for his fight on the undercard of Antonio Tarver vs. Glen Johnson 2. Lakva is a ‘96 Olympian with great skills so it was exciting sparring with him twice a week for a month before his match that he won by TKO.
Karo Parisyan had fought a big name in his UFC fight and won the decision the weekend after. Since his debut he has done great for himself and looks better every time.
My next event is still in the works but in the meantime I will be doing an exhibition fight with 7 time world champion Danny Steele at the House of Champions tournament as the main event on July 16. Danny has over 100 fights with fighters from almost every continent so it will be a great thing to be competing in the ring with a champion of his stature. Tickets will be $10 with the event beginning at 3:30 pm and ending around 7:30 pm. More info at www.houseofchampions.com or 818-996-7180
